About Zeva Aulia Sudana
Zeva Aulia Sudana is a high spirited young lady from Indonesia; a moderate muslim youth with high dreams in accomplishing her visions for the benefit of the people around her, for Indonesia, and the world. She believes that knowledge, wisdom, and experience, are human’s real possessions because those are eternal and cannot be taken from a person’s self. She values the process of all things and regards the ends as a bonus and outcome of the struggles of a person. Honesty, effort, cooperation, passion, and loyalty are among the things dear to her and the foundation of love is considered a boost of energy in anything that she does.
She was named by her American lecturers from Temple University: “Sensitive to ideas, dreams, and fashions: A women of her times”.
Zeva has completed her undergraduate degree on International Relations Studies at Parahyangan Catholic University Indonesia with a thesis on the fields of Energy Security and Pipeline Politics. She currently works at SFCG Indonesia as Program Officer. Her fields of interests are Democracy, Human Rights, Women and Children Empowerment, Strategic Studies, Humanitarian Aid, Sustainable Development, Good Governance, and Transnational and Multinational Co-operations.
Zeva’s academic and non-academic achievements are satisfactory and is stretched back since her Primary School Days. In Primary School (she lived around various parts of Australia), she gained various weekly academic merit certificates, joined her school’s netball, basketball, and athletics team achieving various titles from championships, and was one of the members of Malvern Primary School Student’s Council. In Junior High School (back in Indonesia), she won first or second place in various english-language based academic competitions for Istiqamah Junior High School, from the city of Bandung level until West Java level through speech contests, debating competitions, spelling competitions, storytelling competitions, and cerdas cermat (intelligence quiz). In Senior High School, she enrolled at SMA Negeri 3 Bandung, continuing her activeness in academic competitions which resulted well for her school. In her university years, she was more focused with her studies and student organizations.
Her organizational experiences are aplenty and will hopefully grow. In Primary School she was her class’s representative for the Student’s Junior Council Board, In Junior High School, she was the General Secretary of the Student’s Organization Board, In Senior High School she was the Vice Coordinator of Division 6 regarding Academic Affairs in the Student’s Organization Board, teamwork of its English Club and Editor in Chief of its Wall Magazine (M3), and member of its basketball team (Ubbas 3).
In her university years, she was involved in many activities from committees until heads of boards, but to note a few, in various diplomacy in practice events, she has been the member, vice-coordinator or coordinator of the protocol division or matter division, in various national or international seminars she has been the member or head of matter or event divisions, and in entertainment and cultural events she has been members of publication or event divisions.
She is also affiliated to Student’s Study Group on Analyzing International Affairs (KSMPMI) and throughout her presence within the organization she has been members of matter and Sentris division and the head of Sentris. She was a part of Parahyangan English Debating Society, although only for 2 years because of her role within the Student’s Organization (HIMAHI). She is also one of the West Java Language Ambassadors since 2009, spreading the concerns of a balance between Indonesian, ethnic, and foreign language, part-timed as an English language teacher for children ages 3-6 at The Scholar Centre, and taught Indonesian Language and Culture to foreigners at Saung Angklung Udjo in 2009.
Zeva Aulia Sudana received a scholarship from the US Department of State’s Educational and Cultural Bureau on the Study at the United State’s Institute (SUSI) on Religious Pluralism in early 2011 with 19 other distinguished student leaders throughout Indonesia to study at Temple University in Philadelphia and represented her university at Harvard World Model of the United Nations in Taiwan at 2010 within the UNCND commission as single delegate of Trinidad and Tobago, gaining a passing final resolution with other main drafters on two topics (with delegates of US, Israel, Germany, and Russia).
Zeva is also the elected participant of SeHama, a Human Rights Summer School by KontraS and passed selections of two distinguished events although did not attend because of time schedule, which are: IndonesiaMUN 2010 and FISIP for the Nation 2010.
In 2011, with her fellow Temple University-RPA friends, she established Rumah Dialog, a place for youths whom share the ideals of a more tolerant, respective, and cooperative Indonesia, regardless of any background.
Her dreams will continually grow with her efforts as she continually develops herself and will hopefully contribute for the society for years to come.
